“We confirm the willingness to continue to strengthen the relations of friendship and cooperation between our nations,” a message from the Cuban Foreign Ministry says.

The willingness was expressed on Kuwait’s National Day, which is celebrated on February 25, in commemoration of the ascension to the throne of Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah in 1950.

Cuba and Kuwait celebrated 50 years of diplomatic ties on May 13, with the common will to continue to promote relations of friendship and cooperation between both nations. The two States promote collaboration projects in areas such as health, biotechnology, water resources, environment, investment protection and culture.
