The official emphasized the success of dairy farming abroad during the forum “Dairy Farm” held in Belarus these days in the Belarusian capital Minsk, Belarusian news agency BelTA reported.

The volumes of livestock production, much higher than those of post-Soviet and some European countries, allow Belarus not only to ensure its own food security, but also to increase its export potential every year.

At present the republic maintains a high position in the world rankings of dairy exports.

As noted, last year the country supplied abroad six million tons of milk and dairy products, and the growth rate of exports was formed at the level of 111.5 percent in physical terms and 117.8 percent in terms of value.
