As part of the program of the second and last day of his official visit to this country, the Cuban foreign minister also held talks with his counterpart, Thongsavanh Phomvihane.
Rodriguez Parrilla, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), wrote in a post on X that we agreed on the possibilities of advancing in diversifying bilateral cooperation based on mutual trust and previous experiences in several areas.
Shortly after arriving in Vientiane on Thursday, the Cuban diplomat was received by Thongloun Sisoulith, General Secretary of the People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and Lao President, whom he defined as a friend of Cuba and reiterated to him the high priority his country gives to the development of relations with this nation.
Laos and Cuba are strategic partners and brotherly nations with a long history of excellent collaboration. Their bilateral political relations are at an excellent level and continue to strengthen with constant coordination, communication, and mutual support at regional and international levels, Sisoulith said.
