We are meeting amid another complex phase that our national cause is going through, the president affirmed last night during a meeting of the Fatah Revolutionary Council.

At this stage of the conflict, Israel intends to undermine the two-state solution, weaken the Palestinian National Authority (PNA), and impose a punitive policy and ethnic cleansing on our people, Abbas warned, as quoted by Wafa.

The president accused Israel of launching a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip that has left more than 160,000 dead and injured, in addition to destroying 70 percent of the homes there. We have also witnessed persistent attempts to resettle our people from Gaza and impose new realities on the ground, he underscored.

Abbas called for consolidating the ceasefire deal between the armed group Hamas and Israel, increasing the amount of humanitarian aid entering the Strip, and allowing the Palestinian government to assume its responsibilities there.
