The first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba also visited the El Perejil Popular Council, a community in the process of transformation since October 2021 and which stands out for the repair of internal roads, the rehabilitation of the family doctor’s office, the creation of a micro playground and the installation of public pumps for water supply.
Díaz-Canel also learned about the opening of a point of sale for agricultural products, focused on strengthening food in an enclave with more than a thousand homes.
In a dialogue with residents and the People’s Power delegate in the district, the Cuban president highlighted the value of promoting development in these places with the resources existing in the community, especially in relation to agriculture, since this is a place with many fertile lands around it. As part of his tour of the central province, Miguel Díaz-Canel also plans to learn about the work in the municipalities of Quemado de Güines, Santo Domingo and Corralillo, territories with ample capacity for agricultural development.
