The letter, addressed to Juan Rodríguez Cabrera, president of the Cuban Book Institute, states that the loss of one of the most relevant figures of contemporary literature in Cuba is deeply felt by the entire community.
The text, written on behalf of the Government and people of South Africa, also laments the loss of this scholar and bastion of the Cuban arts and culture.
It also conveyed the condolences of the representatives of the African nation and said that López Sacha’s legacy left an indelible imprint and his “memory will live for a long time in the hearts and souls of the people who had the privilege of his esteemed guardianship.”
