According to Palestinian authorities, the attack took place during the deployment of a police group to secure humanitarian aid in the area of Al-Shawka, east of the city of Rafah.
The Safa news agency said that the security officers were killed when they were hit by a missile fired by a drone.
The incursion represents a new violation of the cease-fire agreement between Israel and the Islamic Resistance Movement, fostered by the United States, Egypt and Qatar, the news agency said.
The director general of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, Munir al-Barash, reported last week that more than 90 people were killed and more than 820 injured by Israeli attacks in the Strip since the beginning of the truce.
Two other citizens were killed by bombs buried in the rubble and 24 as a result of wounds received during the war campaign.
The territory’s authorities put the death toll at more than 48,000 since the beginning of the conflict in October 2023, while the number of injured has exceeded 111,000.
