In statements to the Ethiopia News Agency, Selassie described the discussion with Yang as very important and fruitful, during which they emphasized the importance of improving African representation in the UN Security Council and other architectures in the largest international organization.

In turn, Yang stated that Ethiopia is a very important and key nation in Africa.

“Ethiopia is one of the nations that believes in the UN Charter.” So our relationship, the relationship between the United Nations General Assembly and Ethiopia is excellent and will continue to improve,’ he stressed.

He recalled the meeting held yesterday between the African leader and UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, in which they stressed the need to accelerate cooperation in all aspects between the two parties.
