The State Disaster Management Committee Secretariat reported that the evacuation trend remains stable after rainfall in recent days, leaving isolated communities, flooded homes and blocked roads.
Sabah and Sarawak are located on the island of Borneo, which is currently affected by the northeast monsoon, the most severe rainy season of the year that could generate disaster until March.
According to local media, some families have had no choice but to move because several streets in these states are only accessible by boat, while the floods are ruining property and endangering the lives of the inhabitants.
