The measure was ordered by Liberian President Joseph Boakai and is part of his anti-corruption program announced during the campaign for the general elections at the end of last year.
Coinciding with the announcement issued by the Presidency, the Liberian Anti-Corruption Commission published a list which reveals the names, sexes, positions, agency in which they work and date of appointment of the 457 officials included in the presidential measure.
Those affected include employees of the ministries of Commerce and Industries, the president of the National Petroleum Company and ambassadors, including the head of the diplomatic mission in the United Kingdom, who will be given a month’s grace period, without salary, to submit their respective declarations, the statement said.
