The foreign ministers of Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Poland, the United Kingdom, the European Community, and the European diplomatic service, signed the document, as noted by Le Soir newspaper.
According to the statement, these countries and Brussels are willing to strengthen their support for Ukraine and are committed to defending its independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
They also stated their willingness to continue supporting Kiev until a fair, comprehensive, and lasting peace is achieved.
During a meeting of the Ramstein contact group on Wednesday, Hegseth affirmed that a return to Ukraine’s pre-2014 borders is an unrealistic objective.
