Polanco made the assessment in a meeting with the director of the Military Radio and Television Center, Major General Nguyen Kim Tom, shortly before the screening of chapters four and five of the series, made by the Film Group of the Ministry of Defense of Vietnam.
The Cuban diplomat underscored the great symbolism and high aesthetic value of the film production, which he also considered “a tribute to our peoples, who have made it possible to maintain this relationship with the same level of exchange as in the founding years”.
Prior to the screening of the new chapters, Kim Tom explained details about the production process of the series, which required, from both sides, many efforts in the last five years and which not only recalls the glorious past, but also tries to ignite a firm belief in the future of the ties that unite Vietnam and Cuba.
After the screening, and thanking the filmmakers and all those who made possible the continuity of the series, the Cuban ambassador insisted that “Two Hearts, One Heartbeat” constitutes an exceptional historical heritage on the special relations and brotherhood forged by leaders Fidel Castro Ruz and Ho Chi Minh”.
