The event has South Africa as the guest of honor and in the opening words, it was highlighted that culture during these days will transform La Cabaña into the fortress of the arts.

South Africa is the third country on the continent to be distinguished as a guest of honor at the Fair, as it was preceded by Angola and Algeria.

The great literary festival will take place in Havana until February 23 and will then extend to the rest of the country.

Representatives from more than 40 nations from various continents and more than 400 foreign guests are participating in the event.
