Havana, Feb 12 (Prensa Latina) The role of education systems in achieving fair, inclusive, and sustainable societies is the focus of Wednesday's debates on the penultimate day of the 19th International Congress, Pedagogia 2025, taking place in Cuba.

Opened at the Conference Center in this capital on Monday, the event attracts the interest of teachers, professors, and researchers from more than 30 countries, who gather experiences on successful teaching practices, and the use of technology, science, and innovation to quality education.

This Wednesday’s agenda includes a meeting of the Confederation of American Educators (CEA) executives, coordinated by its president Fernando Rodal, and the 3rd Forum of Leading Entrepreneurs in Products and Services for Education.

The latter includes a special lecture “Business System and Cuban Education: a Necessary Alliance for Sustainable Development” by Roger Alvarez, Director General of the Business Group at the Cuban Education Ministry (MINED).

Academicians attending Pedagogia 2025 will also address the challenges of Latin America and the Caribbean for cultural decolonization and assessment of quality education, with panelists from several regional countries.

The 1st Forum of Cuban Teachers Living Abroad was held on Tuesday with the participation of Cuban Education Minister Naima Trujillo; the Director General of Consular Affairs and Cuban Residents Abroad, Ana Teresita Fraga; and prominent educators from the island.
