Sebastian Valdomir will be the president of the Chamber of Deputies, a rotating position in a legislative body where no political bloc will have a majority.
Vice President-elect Carolina Cosse will preside over the Senate and the Parliament’s General Assembly.
Valdomir pointed out that incomes, public security, the reality of prisons, and child poverty will be the priorities for the new legislative era in the incoming government of President-elect Yamandu Orsi.
They are urgent issues for the leftist alliance, to which bills promoted by the next executive will be added.
Other issues related to pensions and retirement within the social security system are expected to be addressed, for which Orsi’s government supports dialogue instances that will also have their scenarios in the parliamentary sphere.
