The substances, which include methamphetamine, crystal methamphetamine, ketamine and heroin, were destroyed at 1,200 degrees Celsius at a hazardous waste incinerator in Samut Prakan town, the ministry said.

Public Health Minister Somsak Thepsutin gave statements to the press at the Single Service Center of the Food and Drug Administration in Nonthaburi, before transporting the drugs for incineration.

With this one, the Thai government has carried out 59 narcotics incineration operations.
