The Anti-Corruption Unit is conducting an investigation into the former director general of the National Old Age Insurance Office, Jemley Jean-Baptiste, involved in the granting of loans considered suspicious to several beneficiaries, among them Mildred Belliard and Jacques Lauture, reported the online newspaper Le Facteur Haiti.
Besides Jemley Jean-Baptiste, other former ONA executives could also appear to justice, including Stéphanie Mondestin, the institution’s former deputy director general.
Phanèse Laguerre, former coordinator of the National School Feeding Program is under investigation for illegal appropriation of interests and embezzlement of public funds.
