Leaders removed from office and Communist Party in Cuban province

Cienfuegos, Cuba, Feb 9 (Prensa Latina) The provincial Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) agreed to remove José López, a member of its Executive Bureau, from office and from that organization, the party structure in that south-central Cuban province reported.

According to a press release published in the 5 de Septiembre weekly, the official organ of the PCC here, López incurred in “attitude problems in the tasks assigned to him.”

The Plenary Session of the Municipal Committee of the Party in Rodas municipality removed Mayré Fornaris, who held the responsibility of first secretary in that territory, from her position and from PCC, “due to errors committed in the fulfillment of her duties.”

The press release pointed out that Fornaris’s serrors affected the control of different processes of the political organization, after which the provincial Bureau appointed Maykel Betancourt to lead the work of the PCC in that municipality.
