Marco Rubió arrived in this capital last night at Las Américas International Airport, where he was received by Foreign Minister Roberto Álvarez.

The Dominican Republic is the last stop on his first international tour since he took office two weeks ago. He previously visited Panama, Costa Rica, Guatemala and Honduras.

Dominican left-wing political and social organizations describe his presence here as an act of interference in the internal affairs of this country and consider him persona non grata.

They say that Rubio seeks to impose Washington’s colonialist agenda on the Government of Luis Abinader.
