Cuba calls US attempt at controlling Gaza unacceptable

Havana, Feb 6 (Prensa Latina) Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel on Thursday described the United States' attempt at controlling Gaza and displacing the Palestinian population from its territory as unacceptable.

On his X profile, the Cuban head of State defined this attempt as an act of ethnic cleansing and an insult to the international community.

Unacceptable but expected from countries that ignore international law and the most basic standards of human coexistence, Díaz-Canel said in his message.

This colonizing strategy by Washington was reiterated by President Donald Trump on February 4, during a joint press conference at the White House with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

For Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, these calls are a serious violation of international law.

Peace and stability in the region will not be achieved without the establishment of a Palestinian State with Jerusalem as its capital, the Palestinian leader told US media.
