Over a thousand delegates from 93 countries are participating in the event, held at Havana’s Convention Center, in the capital city’s western section.
The event’s schedule today includes a keynote lecture by Brazilian theologian and intellectual, Frei Betto, under the title “Justice as a path to Peace and World Balance.”

The meeting will also feature the International Network of Martian Chairs, an initiative promoted by the project since 2003, with more than 40 branches in foreign territories.
Also attending the forum’s inauguration were the speaker of the National Assembly of People’s Power, Esteban Lazo, the Organization Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba, Roberto Morales, Prime Minister Manuel Marrero, and representatives of organizations in solidarity with the island.
