The Chinese company’s commercial specialist in Cuba, Jenny Maury Barrios, said her firm seeks mutual benefits in its deals with both local state-owned and private as well as with small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and self-employed workers (TCP).
IDON plans to expand, strengthen and consolidate economic and trade links with the Cuban market, the executive stressed.
She recalled that since 2022 IDON has been consolidating close cooperation with successful factories in China and the rest of the world, while providing customers with the highest quality products, while ensuring stable and reliable services.
Many of IDON’s transactions involve such food products as coffee, beer, soft drinks, jams, tomato paste, an array of candies and canned meats, as well as cleaning products, including soaps and all-use detergents.
They also sell construction and hardware materials, such as asphalt blankets, tiles, sanitary furniture, faucets and plumbing products, ceramic floor and wall tiles, aluminum marquetry, protection meshes, paints, MDF boards, galvanized sheets, angle and steel beams, pipes, wires, tools and conventional and LED lights, among others.
Maury Barrios pointed out that they deal with direct imports from different Cuban companies, through consignment and on-site contracts, resorting to their bonded warehouses, which facilitate the fast import of multiple products.
She indicated IDON owns warehouses on Berroa (East Havana), Wajay (Boyeros) and La Tropical Brewery (Havana).
