In a statement, the organization said that the ongoing strike was caused by the lack of answers from the companies representing the Government and the concessionaires.
In addition, it informed that a plenary meeting of union representatives of all railroads would take place today.
Last month, La Fraternidad pointed out that “the interruptions of the activity are not pleasant, neither for those who suffer them, nor for those who carry them out, but they are the only legal tool the workers have when their claims are not attended”.
The companies and the officials degraded the purchasing power of the salary, by accepting an increase of one percent in November and 2.5 percent in December as a “gift”, adds a message from the group.
Furthermore, it affirms that “the government violates democratic principles and aims at demonizing the measures of force, to set the users against the workers, agitating the struggle of poor against poor from the media”.
It also recalls that La Fraternidad addressed the situation in sectional assemblies and resolved to carry out a struggle plan.
