The note stated that the Cuban poet, essayist, and translator will develop a broad program of activities, including her participation in the First Cuban-Gabon Academic and Cultural Day to be held in Libreville from January 21 to 24.
The text adds that the Cuban intellectual’s work is widely known in Gabonese academic circles, and other neighboring French-speaking countries, especially among university professors and students of social sciences, Spanish language, and art history.
During her visit to Gabon, Morejon and her accompanying delegation will visit several centers of historical and cultural interest in the country and carry out exchanges with indigenous communities and traditional art museums.
The First Cuba-Gabon Academic and Cultural Day aims to build new bridges of relations and cooperation between institutions of both nations, who are united and proud of their historical ties.
