I am referring to the fact that most of the restrictions and measures that have been taken against Cuba are of an extraterritorial nature, and were taken as part of the illegal and inhuman economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba”, the diplomat said.
In this regard, she recalled in her usual meeting with the press that such coercive measures were tightened by Washington to an unprecedented level in recent years, and all this is still in force.
The spokeswoman for the Foreign Ministry of Russia said that the current decisions of the administration of U.S. President Joe Biden “reflect the obvious fact that Cuba has an impeccable reputation as an active participant in international cooperation to prevent and combat terrorism”.
Zakharova added that in taking this step the White House acknowledged the absence of evidence of Havana’s alleged support for international terrorism.

On January 14, Biden’s cabinet removed Cuba from the list of countries that allegedly sponsor terrorism orchestrated by the U.S. State Department.
