Bolivian president praises Cuba’s removal from US unilateral list

La Paz, Jan 15 (Prensa Latina) Bolivian President Luis Arce praised Cuba's removal from the list created unilaterally by the Government of the United States of countries that allegedly sponsor terrorism.

“Reason, truth and justice have prevailed. The Government of the United States has removed Cuba from the list of countries sponsoring terrorism, in which it was included unilaterally, arbitrarily and infamously in 2021,” the dignitary assured on his X account.

He added that this action is not only a recognition of the sovereignty and the persistent struggle of the Cuban people, but also marks an important step to advance “in the urgent elimination of the economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed for more than six decades by the United States on the brave Cuban people.”

Arce recalled that this demand has been approved by resolution on repeated occasions at the United Nations General Assembly by the vast majority of countries.

“True peace and social justice can only be achieved through mutual respect, non-interference and recognition of the sovereignty of our peoples,” Arce concluded.
