“The link between Russia and China is one of the main stabilizing factors of modern international life and developing processes, including the escalation of confrontation and hostility in international affairs, carried out by our NATO neighbors,” said the minister during a press conference on the results of Russian diplomacy in 2024.

The diplomat noted that the United States always wants to open gaps and sow discord, whether in Europe, in the Taiwan Strait, in the South China Sea, in the Middle East or in Africa. “Their simple schemes are visible: to create some kind of destabilizing formulas, and then watch how countries that claimed to have influence in one region or another, spend money, attention, time, not on development, but on solving these very crises,” he stressed.

Lavrov held a press conference on Russia’s diplomacy in 2024, at the Russian Foreign Ministry in Moscow, which was attended by Russian and foreign journalists.
