On his Telegram channel, the head of Venezuelan diplomacy stated that it was “a coordinated action by commandos of unhinged fascism,” who attacked several diplomatic facilities.
He added that the consulates were attacked by “extremists who do the same damage to our diplomatic headquarters that they want to do to our beloved Bolivarian homeland.”
Gil called for urgent investigations by authorities in Lisbon (Portugal), Frankfurt (Germany), Medellín (Colombia), Vigo (Spain) and San José (Costa Rica) to find those responsible and “guarantee the integrity of our facilities as established by the Vienna Convention.”
The fascist hatred inoculated, encouraged and protected for years abroad is the main cause of these attacks, he stressed.
