Zia Ahmad Takal, head of Public Relations at the Afghan Foreign Ministry, informed that Shevich expressed his country’s willingness to expand relations with Afghanistan.

The Belarussian deputy foreign minister expressed his government’s positive intentions to establish a basis for cooperation with Afghanistan in several fields.

Both sides agreed that technical teams will continue their talks in Kabul and Minsk to further develop this cooperation, Takal said in a news briefing.

Some Central Asian countries with close ties to Russia have established not only economic but also political ties with Afghanistan’s interim government over the last three years.
