They are “Las Ensoñaciones del Reposo,” a solo exhibition by Giselle Lucia; the collective exhibition “Line Up” by Javier Agudo, Aramis Cue, Yan Cue, Jejannie Cardoso, and Yuniel D’Casal; and “La Ruptura del Decorum” by Agustin Bejerano.
Cuba’s major visual arts event will also include a concert by renowned singer-songwriter David Torrens on Sunday at El Fanguito neighborhood in Havana’s El Vedado district, and artist Wilfredo Prieto will open an exhibition in that area.
As the Biennial’s organizers reported, the public could continue to visit the exhibitions that opened in November and December, including the collective exhibit “Pequeñas Historias Sin Nombre” at the Wifredo Lam Contemporary Art Center.
The 15th Havana Biennial involves 172 Cuban and 230 international artists, 61 percent from the so-called Global South.
