“Despite global calls and orders issued by the International Court of Justice, the occupying State maintains all obstacles to the entry of aid into that territory,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement. More than two million Palestinians are held hostage by political plans and blackmail in full view of the world, it stressed.
The Ministry also accused Benjamin Netanyahu’s Government of committing genocide in the Strip, and criticised the forced displacement of the population, the systematic attacks and the destruction of infrastructure.
“The cycle of death through bombing, displacement, famine and deprivation of the most basic human rights must cease,” it said.
More than 46,000 Palestinians have lost their lives in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the war, according to official figures.
