Vice President for Science, Technology and Health Gabriela Jiménez bade farewell to the Cuban head of State at the Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía, La Guaira state (north).
Díaz-Canel arrived in Venezuela in the morning to attend Maduro’s inauguration before the National Assembly at the Federal Legislative Palace, which was attended by 51 international delegations, 13 of which were heads of State and Government.
He also attended the solemn ceremony in the Yard of Honor of the Military Academy, where the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, the police forces and the popular forces, organized in the Historic Patriotic Bloc, swore loyalty to the President.
Later, he attended, along with the Bolivarian leader, Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega, and other guests, the celebration at the Miraflores Palace, together with the people.
More than two thousand representatives of governments, social movements from more than 100 countries from all continents and international organizations traveled to Caracas to attend Maduro’s inauguration in the Federal Legislative Palace.
