In one of Havana’s botanical gardens, transformed into a scientific and cultural center, the expedition members will share stories about their travels to the most remote corners of the world, and their impressions of the cultures in different countries and their nature.
This initiative highlights the ocean’s role as a link between people, cultures, and countries.
The project started in Tenerife in November, and after a 20-day transatlantic voyage, it reached St. Lucia, in the Caribbean region, aboard the Atlantic Race Cruising.
In Cuba, it anchored in the central province of Cienfuegos on December 21st. After its stay in the Largest of the Antilles, it will continue its journey through the Caribbean and Latin America and then cross the Panama Canal in March.
Founded in 2021, the Five Oceans Club is a community of people who love the seas and oceans, explore them, and help science study the problems of these ecosystems globally.
