A statement issued by the Ministry and published by SANA welcomed the recent exemptions approved by the US administration regarding the economic sanctions imposed on Syria.

The text explained that this was achieved thanks to the meetings recently held and expressed thanks to all Syrian officials who made great efforts in this regard.

According to the Syrian Foreign Ministry, the reason for which these punitive measures were created has already disappeared, so their complete lifting has become necessary to advance the wheel of recovery.

Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shaibani had affirmed the need to lift the unilateral coercive measures imposed by the United States and asserted that they affect the nation.
