Veterans from Cuba and the United States to play baseball game

Havana, Jan 7 (Prensa Latina) Veterans from Cuba and the United States will play two friendly games at Havana's Latin American Stadium, the Cuban Baseball Federation announced on Tuesday.

The games at the mythical baseball stadium are scheduled for next Saturday, January 11, and Sunday, January 12, at 10:00 a.m., local time, when sports glories from Cuba and members of the US Expo Maine team will participate.

The Cuban team is made up mostly of the same players who less than a month ago played an exhibition game at the Palmar de Junco Stadium, in Matanzas, to honor another anniversary of the first baseball game in Cuba with statistical records.

The Cuban players will be led by Pedro Medina, Rodolfo Puente, Antonio Acea, Heriberto Corbea and José Elosegui, Delegate Ismael Triay and Provincial Commissioner Julian Sarría.

In the fields will be Frank Camilo Morejón, Antonio Scull, Alexander Malleta, Rey Vicente Anglada, Joyse Sú, Ernesto Sánchez, Yoandry Urgelles Cobas, Irakly Chirino, Leonardo Castrazana, Ernesto Morilla, José Antonio Soto, Miguel Angel Yanes and Andres Moya.

While Lázaro de la Torre, Wilber Pérez, Frank Javier Menéndez, Rene Espín, Jorge Fumero, Jorge L. Váldez and Lázaro Valle will be the pitchers.
