The Sudanese Health Ministry reported that nine people were killed on the outskirts of the capital due to continuous shelling, 25 others died, and dozens were injured in armed attacks in Sennar state in White Nile.
Eyewitnesses reported that members of the so-called Rapid Support Forces (RSF) fired indiscriminately at civilians.
Since mid-April 2023, Sudan has been embroiled in an internal war, following a power struggle between Army Chief, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, and RSF leader, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, after the country suffered military coups d’Etat in 2019 and 2021.
