The group will play selections from the show “Habana Fenix” (Havana Phoenix), which had its debut performance in 2023 and became one of the cultural events of the year in Cuba, organizers stressed in a press release.
Although Lizt Alfonso is the author of the choreographic concept and general technique, “Habana Fenix” also features scenes choreographed by dancers and teachers trained at the LADC, such as Yadira Hernandez, Diana Fernandez, Claudia Valdivia, Laura Abreu, Daira Jay, and Yohara Garcia.
Outstanding choreographer Lizt Alfonso received the National Choreography Award from the National Association of Cuban Writers and Artists (UNEAC) with this show.
BBB HAVBANA 2025 will take place in the Cuban capital from January 7 to 11, sponsored by the LADC and the Rocky Mountain Ballet Theater, from the United States.
