The earthquake, the strongest recorded so far in that locality, occurred 56 kilometers south-southeast of Abomsa and earlier the locality was shaken by one of magnitude 5,5, 44 kilometers northeast of Awash with a depth of 10 kilometers.
Speaking to Fana Digital, the senior administrator of Gabi Rasu area, Abdulla Ali, explained that they are implementing preventive measures to ensure the safety of local residents and those relocated to temporary shelters due to serious damage to their homes.
