In 256 pages, the authors narrated the journey, with photos and interviews with the Revolution Commanders Juan Almeida Bosque and Guillermo García Frias. Báez (1936-2015) said piecing together the story was the first challenge. De la Hoz (1953-2024) expressed that Journalistic archaeology had to be carried out to reconstruct the facts.
The second challenge was organizing the images taken from the archives of the Office of Historical Affairs of the Council of State and the magazines Bohemia and Verde Olivo; the third great difficulty was pinpointing the times of each recorded event, the authors explained.
