“The celebration of the anniversary of the Revolution is not only a reminder of the past but also a call for unity around a common future,” a statement from the National Association of Friendship Italy-Cuba (Anaic), released on social media, quoted.
The text highlights that, despite the aggression of the United States against that process, with an economic and commercial blockade imposed for more than six decades, Cuba’s achievements “have been recognized internationally, and serve as an example of what can be achieved through a genuine commitment to the well-being of the people.”
This “is a time to honor those who fought for meaningful change and to recommit to that legacy,” the note said, emphasizing that despite the complex situation facing that country, “the revolutionary spirit lives in the new generations.”
