Djibouti’s President congratulated Cuba for the triumph of 1959

Djibouti, Jan 3 (Prensa Latina) Djiboutian President Ismail Omar Guelleh congratulated his Cuban counterpart, Miguel Díaz-Canel, on the 66th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution and highlighted the ties of friendship between the two countries, it was known today. According to a message sent to the Havana embassy here, Guelleh expressed that the Djiboutian people and government joined him in expressing their sympathy and friendship to the Cuban people.

‘May this patriotic anniversary, and the year 2025 (…) serve as a new impetus to the Republic of Cuba’s indeclinable quest to increase its development, which it has already achieved,’ the text said.

It expressed joy that the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries are constantly being strengthened. ‘The privileged nature of relations between Djibouti and Cuba reflects the strategic partnerships they share in all areas of sustainable development,’ he said.

The African leader assured that his government and people will always support exchange ties, mutual aid, and solidarity with the Caribbean nation.

In reiterating my warmest congratulations, please receive, Mr. President (Díaz-Canel), my fraternal greetings,’ the text concluded.
