“We denounce this imperialist policy that seeks to delegitimize the resistance and achievements of the Cuban people. No government of the United States has the moral authority to point to a nation that has been an example of solidarity, dignity and self-determination,” the party said in a public statement.
The political organization made a statement in this regard by highlighting the mass mobilization to reject “the cruel and inhumane economic blockade that seeks to suffocate the Island” and is aggravated by Cuba’s inclusion in Washington’s State Sponsors of Terrorism (SSOT) list.
In the document, the New Peru for Good Living (the official name of the party) reaffirmed “our commitment to defending the sovereignty of the peoples and we reject any type of imperialist interference that threatens peace and freedom in our region.”
“Yesterday, today and always, we stand in solidarity with Cuba in the face of the blockade. For a united, great and sovereign Latin America!” it added.
