The security institution will be reformed after the dissolution of all services and their restructuring, in a way that honors our people, Khattab wrote on X, two days after being appointed to the post by the new authorities who overthrew President Bashar Al-Assad on December 8.

According to the new intelligence chief, the security departments were diverse and numerous, but they all shared control of the people and none of them fulfilled their assigned function, which is to guarantee security.

He promised to spare no effort to preserve the people’s safety and protect their rights to the fullest.

We will confront the manipulation and criminals who try day and night to undermine what we have achieved, the official stressed.

Khattab concluded his statement by assuring that his institution would work with the other ministries as one hand to begin the process of construction and development.
