According to the committee’s president, Camilo Perez, on January 31 a hearing is planned in Switzerland chaired by the International Olympic Committee’s head, Thomas Bach, to address the issue of hosting the youth Olympics.
He indicated that the contest would be the largest event that Paraguay can aspire to organize, as it will be attended by delegations from 211 countries.
On the other hand, Paraguayan President Santiago Peña signed the documents to forward the Paraguayan candidacy to Panam Sports, in a bid to host the Pan American Games in 2031.
The voting to choose the event’s host will be conducted on August 7, 2025 during a relevant meeting in Asunción.
