“Please accept my most sincere congratulations on the occasion of the New Year. Our meeting in Pyongyang in June raised Russian-Korean relations to a qualitatively new level,” reads Putin’s greeting posted on the Russian presidential official website on Friday.
The Russian president recalled that a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement was signed at the end of the meeting in Pyongyang, which created the conditions for a “significant expansion” of mutually beneficial cooperation in all key areas.
“I am confident that in 2025 we will continue to work together to fulfill this historic agreement, facing common threats and challenges, which is in the interests of our friendly peoples,” the head of state wrote.
Putin also wished health, happiness, and success to Kim Jong Un and his family and friends and well-being and prosperity to the citizens of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.
