“Currently, we receive from the vast majority of Latin American countries interesting signals for strengthening and expanding the partnership with the Russian Federation,” stated the foreign minister this Friday on the Ministry´s website.

According to Lavrov, Russia actively develops dialogue with these countries on political issues, and economic and humanitarian-cultural cooperation through diplomatic channels.

Lavrov emphasized that “relations between Russia and Latin American and Caribbean countries have traditionally been friendly,” marked by mutual respect for each other’s cultures and for global culture.

Interaction between Russia and Latin American countries is also developing rapidly at the regional and municipal level, and Moscow is ready to deepen it.
