“I am moved by the mass demonstration that shows the unity of the Cuban people and their Government, in the face of a frightening, shameful event in the 21st century, such as the blockade,” he told Prensa Latina.
The lawmaker asserted that Washington’s hostile policy is “a constant attack by US imperialism on peoples who do not align themselves with the neocolonialism that the United States is trying to impose on the world.”
“All our support and all our solidarity with the Cuban people and from this trench of struggle in Peru, from the Congress of the Republic and from our party, Voces del Pueblo (People’s Voices), all our support and our arms to continue to fight until this infamous blockade falls,” he said.
He condemned this US policy “against the Cuban people, a wonderful, generous people, who have always been at the service of the noblest causes of humanity,” he said.
