Dmitri Medvedev highlights strategic partnership between Nicaragua an

Managua, Dec 27 (Prensa Latina) The vice president of the Russian Security Council, Dmitri Medvedev, highlighted the spirit of strategic partnership between his country and Nicaragua.

In the Christmas and New Year greeting letter addressed to the Nicaraguan president, Daniel Ortega, Medvedev stated that this spirit continues to gradually expand both in the bilateral format and on international platforms.

“We are focused on strengthening cooperation between Moscow and Managua in the coming year for the sake of the prosperity of our countries, as well as the benefit of global and regional security,” Medvedez expressed. He also said they hope to strengthen the interaction between that political force and the Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN) “Including cooperation within the framework of the anti-colonialist movement for the freedom of nations to build a polycentric world order, based on the principles of true equality and sovereignty,” he emphasized.

In another message addressed to Vice President Rosario Murillo, Medvedev stated that Russia appreciates Nicaragua´s constructive cooperation, friendship, and mutual trust. “In the coming year we are willing to continue increasing collaboration focused on achieving solid practical results, for the sake of the prosperity of both countries and for the benefit of building a fair multipolar world order,” he stressed.

In both letters, the Russian leader wished Ortega, Murillo, their families, and the Nicaraguan people, good health, well-being, and all the best.
