For its part, the Lebanese Army increased its alert and readiness at the Qaaqaaiyet El-Jisr checkpoint, following Israeli movements from Taybeh towards Aadchit El-Qsair and Qantara.
In a statement, the Lebanese military denounced the persistent Israeli violation of the ceasefire agreement, as well as the attacks on Lebanon’s sovereignty and the destruction of villages and towns south of the nation.
The Lebanese army said they are monitoring the situation in coordination with Unifil and the follow-up committee for the ceasefire implementation.
