The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that the sanctioned entities are the Uyghur Rights Advocacy Project and the Canada-Tibet Committee.
The measures include freezing all their movable, immovable, and other assets within Chinese territory, and prohibiting any transactions or cooperation between these organizations and entities or individuals in China.
In addition, the 20 individuals associated with these organizations will face similar restrictions, including freezing their assets in China and a ban on entry into the country, which covers the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions.
The Foreign Ministry stressed that these measures are direct responses to the interference of the aforementioned organizations and individuals in the Asian country´s internal affairs.
China has reiterated on multiple occasions that it considers the issues of Xinjiang and Tibet as a sensitive subject of its national interests and has urged other nations to respect its sovereignty and refrain from intervention.
